Pairing a New Remote Control with RCU Learning Function
If the original remote control is lost, then use the Other existing remote control instead of, through the RCU learning function in the Montage software. The operation method is as follows
Step 1: Connect Hardware
- Connect the set-top box to the power supply and HDMI cable.
Step 2: Enter Main User Interface 2. Turn on the set-top box and enter the main user interface using the existing remote control.
Step 3: Access RCU Learning Interface 3. Press any two keys on the existing remote control alternately and continuously until the “RCU Learning” interface appears.
Step 4: Initiate RCU Learning for Each Key 4. Press any key on the new remote control three times to initiate RCU learning for that key. Repeat this step for all other keys on the new remote control.
Step 5: Save and Reboot 5. Press the Exit key to save the current RCU learning operation. The set-top box will reboot automatically to apply the new functions.
Additional Notes:
- If not learning all the keys, press the power key to skip to the next key.
- To save and complete the RCU learning operation, press the Exit key.
